[FIX] IBM Thinkpad Z60m Audio / Sound Not Working in Windows 7, Drivers
When you install Windows 7 on a IBM Thinpad Z60m the audio is installed via Windows update but they do not work. If you look at the audio setup it shows that Windows 7 thinks that the speakers are unplugged.
The fix is as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Download the soundmax driver:
Analog Devices SoundMAX HD Audio driver 6.10.01.6570 Beta Windows Vista(32/64)/Win7(32/64)
2. Install the driver (You will have to use manual install through Device manager). After you install this driver you should have the sound, but the speakers are still “unplugged”. Now if you press volume button on the top up or down the speaker will “magically” start to work.
3. Now we have to keep them plugged in always and to do that we download from Lenovo the “Hotkey drivers” and install them. Click here to download the Hotkey Drivers.
